Dear California Air Resources Board;
Please do not vote to weaken the current Zero Emission Vehicle
regulations. We need more, not less, regulation to reduce global
warming and improve California's air pollution problems.

In the next few years I will be in the market for a new car. 
While hybrids are an attractive alternative to reduce pollution
and reduce fuel consumption, I would love to have the much better
alternative of an electric vehicle, which solves both of those
problems.  If regulations are loosened, the auto companies will
only make a token few ZEV vehicles per year, and they will not be
available enough to make any difference to the environment.  Auto
makers have made fortunes from sales to California residents.  It
is time to push them to contribute to some solutions to our
problems by making alternative vehicles like ZEVs available.

In addition, I understand that you have proposed to significantly
increase the number of plug-in hybrids that must be produced and
fully support this idea to be included in ZEV regulations. This is
another great innovation that could be made available to consumers,
and I would be excited to purchase this type of vehicle if it were
available.
