Hello,

I am a native California.  I have lung problems.  I was not born
with lung problems but growing up in Los Angeles with the smog has
caused me to have asthma along with yearly lung issues.    I am
completely confused as to WHY you would vote to WEAKEN ZEV
regulations.  The only reason I can think of is that you do not
care about the people of California, instead you care more about
the corporations who own car and oil companies.  During this time
of global warming we need to increase our output of zero emission
vehicles if anything.  

Currently, I am driving a vegetable oil fuel based car.  It is a
good alternative for now, but I have seen that this is not the
answer for california.  There is not enough fuel to go around for
one.  I would be thrilled to buy a ZEV auto.

On that note, I fully support the staff's proposal to
significantly increase the number of plug-in hybrids that must be
produced and appreciate staff's vision in including these cars in
the ZEV requirements. A plug-in hybrid that has an all-electric
range, but that also runs on gasoline when the battery is empty,
is a great option all around.

Finally, as I stated above, I am an adult suffering from Lung
issues due to bad quality of air here in Southern California.  I
will not let that happen to my children and will seriously
consider moving states should you vote on the side of Corporations
over people.  That is no state I want to be a part of.
