I write to ask the California Air Resources Board not to weaken the
current Zero Emission Vehicle regulations.  Zero emission vehicles
not only reduce air pollution, but help in the fight against
global warming.  It is time to strengthen, not weaken these
requirements.  The Great thing about being a Californian is being
the example, taking the steps.  It isn't always easy being in the
front of a new way to be, to live, but as a Californian we have
been and need to continue to lead the country by being the
example.  
As a car owner, I am concerned about pollution and the high price
of gasoline.  A zero emission vehicle is a very attractive
alternative.  I support all exploration and production of hybrid
cars.  I see them as the necessary transition for a society that
lacks community transportation alternatives.  The public must be
given alternatives and California can be the example for the
transition.  This transition is vital to the survival of the
planet as we know it.  For anyone who care about animals and
plants in addition to humans the facts of global warming can no
longer be ignored.  Please continue to lead in this effort and do
not weaken the Zero emmision vehicle regulations but strengthen
them.
