To the California Air Resources Board,

I ask that CARB not weaken the current Zero Emission Vehicle
regulations. Zero emission vehicles not only reduce air pollution,
but help in the fight against global warming. In fact, now is the
time to strengthen, not weaken, these requirements.

As current owner of a hybrid vehicle, I am concerned about
pollution as well as the high price of gasoline. I'd like the
option of purchasing a zero emission vehicle in the future and
reducing my own impact in these areas. Automakers should be
required to make more than 150 ZEV vehicles per year.

Finally, I fully support the staff's proposal to significantly
increase the number of plug-in hybrids that must be produced and
appreciate staff's vision in including these cars in the ZEV
requirements.
