| Comment | Mary Nichols and CARB - While not a citizen of your great state, I recognize that you are often a leader in our country. I have been following the role you are playing in moving our nation to a cleaner environment and becoming less dependent on oil. I firmly believe that allowing consumers to choose electric vehicles is a giant step in the right direction. I urge you to stand firm in requiring the full 25,000 ZEVs that automakers had promised for 2012-2014. Further, I support the creation of a separate requirement for plug-in hybrids that lets them replace the dirtiest vehicles in CARB's regulations, rather than the cleanest ZEVs. Let us not take another step BACKWARDS in our goal of creating a cleaner country. Sally Bolton |
