I learned this morning that the board will be considering yet
another revision to weaken the ZEV regulation.  This is not only
unadvisable, it is unthinkable.  

The government of California was created for and by the citizens,
and should therefore consider the will of the citizens before that
of special interests.  Furthermore, the corporate special interests
that stand to benefit are all based outside of California and or
the USA, and at least one California based business will suffer
irreparable harm (Tesla Motors).

In this time of financial uncertainty, California government
decisions that are obviously detrimental to the financial well
being of California and Californians not only make no sense, but
are and will be (rightfully so) perceived as grossly negligent.

I have not even mentioned the health and environmental impacts
surrounding your ultimate decision which are so obviously profound
there should be no reason to detail those issues further at this
point.

Please do not collapse to the special interests who seek to
accelerate the taking of California's future.  Strengthen, not
weaken the California ZEV regulation and make the unquestionable
statement that California cares about it's Citizens.
