I am writing as a concerned citizen of Los Angeles, Ca. Over the
last 4 years that I have lived in LA I have seen the rise of the
Prius and gas prices by more than $1 a gallon.  While I do not
disagree that the increase in Hybrid and electric vechicles is due
in part to the rise in gas prices, I also think that the public is
becoming more aware of the huge strain gas burning vehicles put on
the health of our planet and our own personal health.  

Some of this desire to aviod gas burning vehicles has lead
consumers to pursue the highly praised grease car. While these
cars reduce the need for gasoline to zero,a good thing, research
has shown that the emmissions given off by many of these cars are
more detrimental to human health then those of gas burning
vehicles.

Don't you think it is vital to support developed and regulated
technologies that can support economic, environmental and human
health needs?

Please continue to support electric  and hybrid car research and
development and encourage your peers to do the same.  The people
will always find a way to get what they need, but I would rather
that it was supported by the government we vote into office to
provide that support in the first place.
