I urge you to give full support to electric and plug-in hybrid
vehicles -- your requirements will force manufacturers to produce
these vehicles. People will buy them if they exist -- I see 2 - 3
times as many Prius' on the streets as I did a few years ago. 

We have no time to waste - we are on a time clock of 10 years or
less to turn around our greenhouse emissions. It is your
RESPONSIBILITY as leaders to require very strict guidelines for
increasing the number of electric vehicles and plug in hybrids
that are required on our roads.

As Al Gore said in An Inconvenient Truth, will our descendents
look back and say "what were they thinking" when they didn't act
responsibility, or will they say "How did they find the courage"
to do what needed to be done.

It's up to all of us, but you have a very special responsibility
to your fellow citizens
