Dear Sirs and Madam,

Once before you cut back on ZEV mandates, based on car
manufacturers promising that hydrogen vehicles would eventually
fill the gap.  Now many years later car manufacturers admit that
hydrogen will take additional decades -- if ever.  You need to
stop accepting manufacturers excuses in America -- while the same
companies are selling much cleaner cars in Europe.  You need to
stop the backsliding on the part of ARB that led to the
destruction of the EV-1 and the cancellation of the RAV4-EV --
highly successful vehicles designed 20 years ago.  ZEV vehicles
are possible using today's technology especially with the new
lithium ion batteries.  But someone needs to take a stand against
global warming.  And that someone HAS to be the ARB -- THERE IS NO
ONE ELSE IN ANY POSITION TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE!  Either
ARB stands up on their hind legs and says "enough already, SOMEONE
has to stand up against global warming and makes some effort to
save the planet that our children NEED to live on!"  Or else: Game
Over.
