Dear Board,

I urge you to uphold the legal rights of California and 10 other
states to regulate the availbility of zero emission vehicles in an
attempt to show that pollution from vehicles can be reduced by
using the available and feasible technology of Battery Electric
Vehicles and requiring the manufacturers to offer these vehicles
for sale to the many interested consumers who want to help reduce
the Oli Addiction of the United States, in addition to becoming
part of the solution instead of the problem of ever increasing
pollution by vehicular transportation.

I expect that you make good on the mistake that CARB made several
years earlier by killing the ZEV mandate, which resulted in a
throw back of many years in vehicle technology, allowing Toyota to
become the number one manufacturer of clean vehicles as well as a
reduction in available ZEV vehicles to the many interested
buyers.

I urge you to pass the ZEV mandate without weaking, this is the
only way that the USA is going to make headway in clean vehicular
technology on a broad front.
