Please do not weaken or postphone the mandate to reduce global
warming.  I sincerely hope that your proposed amendments to the
ZEV regulations will continue to support electric cars as well as
other non gasoline, non diesel, and non fossil fuel vehicles.  

We do not have time to put off our curbing of fossil fuel
vehicles.  Even with an economic downturn, we still need to take
action, not postphone it.  I am most concerned about what I see as
the weakening of the law in some of your proposed amendments. 
Resist the temptation and the pressure by large fossil fuel
companies.  Please show backbone and leadership, and stand up for
our society's real needs to switch to alternative energy. 
Electric cars, for esample, cause far less pollution that diesel
or gasoline powered vehicles.
