As I write this gas prices are going through the roof. The country
is in a recession the likes of which has not been seen since the
1930s. The environment is in danger - all the scientists are
saying so. There is no doubt in my mind, or in the mind of many of
my fellow citizens that we need to do something now to change our
dependance on gas cars. 
I am a businesswoman in San Francisco, who has solar on her house.
The obvious answer for me is electric cars. Let's face it, the new
economy is going to be based on ENERGY and that energy is going to
have to be sustainable. Let's be at the forefront of this movement!
Let's be ahead of the game! We have a chance to improve the economy
by kickstarting a whole new way of driving and galvanizing
businesses like solar panel energy etc. Let's show the
entrepreunerial spirit that has always made California unique.  
Please go forward with a hearty and enthusiastic mandate for a
large amount of Zero emission cars. It's the only smart thing to
do, especially for the economy of this state.  Thank you.
