It;s tremendously important to take the steps to become more
energy-independent.  The electric car is a major piece of that
effort.  It's also equally important to meet the challenges of
global warming.  The electric car is another part of that
important effort.  Don't let us go backward on this issue--it's
too important.  Keep the electric car.

And for a second point, I also support SUGAR ethanol for hybrid
cars, NOT corn ethanol.  It is much less destructive to the
environment, and does not force the choice between making food for
people or fuel for cars.
