The electric car is the real solution to the fuel crisis our
California, the US, and the world all face today. The mandate in
its current state is weak and gives far too much credit to
hydrogen. Hydrogen is only one fourth as efficient as pure
electricity. The increased energy requirements of hydrogen means
that energy, money, and air quality will be needlessly sacrificed.
California has lead the country in reducing emissions, including
the original ZEV mandate of the 90s. Require the big car companies
to make electric cars now! It will be much easier and less
expensive to implement electric vehicles in the state of
California, and then throughout the rest of the US.

Please save the electric car.
