Comment | You know that cars and trucks have a significant effect on air quality. You know that Zero Emission Vehicles are part of the solution to limiting green house gas emissions and pollutants. You know that it is possible with present technology to produce effective electric cars and trucks that are marketable. You know that charging 15,450 electric vehicles at night will not have a significant effect on the electrical grid. Given these things and your mission, why would you even consider lessening your mandate to automakers to produce ZEVs? Currently it is very expensive to get an electric car in California. Small golf cart like vehicles regulated to low speeds and conversions are the only options for many people. Why should this be the case? Why should we continue to burn fossil fuels when we have the technology ready to produce ZEVs? Please do not lessen the mandate to Automakers for ZEV production. If you act in the true interest of Air Quality and greenhouse gas reduction, you will increase the mandate. Thank you for your attention. |
