Please do not impede the research and development no plug in hybrid
vehicles as welll as zero emissions ( electric ) vehicles. Both
vehicles have very important roles to play in our reductions on
our oil dependency. I also believe that mandated quanitites of
these vehicles should be approved. I believe this could help quell
this issue of upper management within auto manufaturers changing
their minds, possibly stopping developement and production of the
cars as the CEO of General Motors stupidly announced just over a
month ago, throwing away the plans of selling the Chevy Volt by
2010. The American public over the last 34 years have been duped
into believing the oil producers, car manufactures, and most of
all our own government, have allowed the disaster which is now
taking place in personal transportation. I am of the firm
conviction that we as a people must overide these organizations
and finally remove the shackles our country has been tied down
with. I actually thought that we as a nation would have never gone
to war again for oil, but we did.It must stop.
