All we have been doing on this issue over the years is going
backwards.  From taking the lead in zero-emissions technology,
California is falling over itself to kowtow to the auto industry
and roll back every meaningful piece of regulation.  When even the
Bush administration admits that global warming is real and
damaging, how can we even consider weakening one of the few
regulations that actually does anything about it?  Do not allow
automakers to avoid compliance with the ZEV targets to which they
have already agreed.
