Dear board members of CARB, I am a concerned citizen urging you to
please strengthen the ZEV 2008 mandate on March 27th 2008.  I
believe that the good people of California are eager to have the
opportunity to buy zero emission automobiles.  The best solution
is to demand auto makers to make more electric and plug-in hybrid
cars available to the public.  As fuel costs rise to record prices
each day, it is only fair that consumers be offered the option to
own automobiles that are fuel efficient.  Also, the public
awareness of carbon dioxide emissions and the damage it causes to
the environment is another concern that must be addressed. 
Electric automobiles will help mitigate the tons of carbon dioxide
that is released into the atomosphere.  Let the people of this
great state make a statement to fight rising fuel costs and
climate change at the same time by allowing them to drive cars
that will make a difference!
