I urge Chair Nichols--and the other CARB members--to support
production of electric vehicles. This is automotive technology
that could work NOW to help clean our air and cut CO2 emissions.

As gasoline prices lurch toward the $4.00 per gallon mark, let's
all work together to hasten the day when we can dump the pump and
start driving clean, efficient electric cars.

Let's work toward the Governor's objective of reducing greenhouse
gas emissions 25% by 2020.

The most promising way to reach this goal is to give consumers the
choice to buy Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEVs).

Do NOT reduce the number of ZEVs required of automakers by 90%,
settling for only 2,500 from 2012-2014.

Please DO:
1. Require the full 25,000 ZEVs that automakers had promised for
2012-2014, and
2. Create a separate requirement for plug-in hybrids that lets
them replace the dirtiest vehicles in CARB's regulations, rather
than the cleanest ZEVs.

Choice for consumers means cleaner air for everyone.

Thanks in advance for your support!
