It has come to my attention that you are soon to vote on a plan to
modify the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Program in a way that could
keep electric cars out of consumers' hands for another decade. 

I am writing to you to tell you that this is unacceptable! Since
these decisions always come down to money, and the fact that
someone is threatened to make less of it -- in this case oil
companies and gas-powered car manufacturers -- please consider
this: the fastest-growing segment of vehicles are hybrids. The
waiting list for hybrids ha been consistently long for quite some
time now. Hybrid owners are more likely to recommend their cars to
others then any type of owner. There is obviously tremendous demand
for environmentally-friendly vehicles, so perhaps the CARB and
other government agencies should ally with companies promoting
ZEVs rather than sqaushing them and help make some $$ of them the
good old-fashioned American way.
