Subject: Combatting global warming
Comment:
The CARB must do everything in its power to combat global warming pollution. Please implement the following 3 ideas. 1. Cap-and-trade program. This will limit emissions of greenhouse gases. As many emitting sources as possible should be included in this program as soon as possible. 2. Indirect Source Rule. This will control emissions from development projects. This can be implemented via the local air districts. 3. Renewable Portfolio Standard. This will increase the amount of energy production in our state that does not contribute to global warming by requiring that a percentage of all energy sold in California be generated from renewable sources (solar, wind, biomass, etc). California's current target of 10% by 2010 is too low. Thank you.
