We will not reach the CO-2 goals unless the State makes compact, pedestrian oriented. mixed-use land development the preferred option for future housing development. The local development codes throughout the State force developers to build the low-density sprawl that got us into the problem in the first place. How stupid would it be to have AB-32 regulations omit the most important produced or greenhouse gases? Make the regs include compact housing development and thereby include another important tool to reduce GHG. |
