Electric buses are a smart approach to vehicle electrification given defined ranges, clear locations for charging, low cost of maintenance and cost of operation. Furthermore, as a professor of public health, California should NOT be allowing diesel pollution of our air and the clear health damage it causes. "Clean" natural gas is also not a viable alternative as the assessment of lifetime climate impact of gas MUST include leakage along entire system of wells through distribution--not just the end vehicle combustion. |
