I am a Porter Ranch resident. There are at least two things that
Regulators are allowing SoCalGas to get away with.
(1) There are no safety valves at the bottom of every active well.
If the blown out well had one, the blow-out, which caused huge
damage to the people of Porter Ranch and to the environment, would
have lasted a few hours instead of four months. We are asking for a
repeat.
(2) After 2 1/2 years, there is still no root cause analysis
report. As a result, we are surely missing some corrective actions.
This Agreement is inadequate because the causes attributable to
SoCalGas are being hidden.

This situation is mind boggling. It represents gross dereliction of
duty by SoCalGas and its Regulators.
