"Protect: Minimizing conversion and managing to preserve the sequestration potential of forests, rangelands, farms, wetlands and riparian systems will be essential." - from ARB fact sheet If the above statement is true, the Governor should seriously consider reestablishing the subvention funding, taken from counties, a few years ago, for Williamson Act Contracts. Some counties are no longer accepting new WACs and ranchers are feeling the pressure of development. |
