To the California Air Resources Board: I write to you from the heartland of Minnesota, USA, to ask that you cancel the Rice Cultivation Projects Compliance Offset Protocol and all existing and proposed Compliance Offset Protocols under the Cap-and-Trade Regulation. I stand in solidarity with peoples in over 125 organizations from 30 countries who reject rice cultivation offsets and using our food for carbon credits. Offsets are really not a solution to climate change, and need to be excluded from California's Global Warming Solutions Act AB32. Thank you for this opportunity to comment. |
