Air Resources Engineer

The ECARS's the Haagen-Smit Laboratory Engineering & Testing Branch in El Monte, California is looking for an Air Resources Engineer to work as a test engineer to carry out large- and small-scale testing program to assess gaseous and particulate emissions from gasoline-, diesel-powered vehicles, electric hybrid vehicles, and the effects of new fuels on air pollution. The test engineer will be responsible for reviewing, validating test results, and performing engineering evaluations to ensure that accurate data are collected. In addition, the test engineer will also use his/her expertise to develop and evaluate new testing methods, as well as to verify that testing equipment meets specified performance requirements. Experience and knowledge in Federal Test Procedure and Code of Federal Regulations requirements for dynamometer, sampling, analytical systems, and quality control procedures is preferred.

Staff Air Pollution Specialist

The Climate Change Reporting Section (CCRS) in the Program Planning and Management Branch has a vacancy for a Staff Air Pollution Specialist (SAPS) position for which it is seeking a highly qualified candidate with knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions quantification, reporting, verification, or GHG inventory development and experience managing and analyzing large complex data sets. SDSB is seeking an IT Spec I with PHP or .Net coding experience to conduct business analysis, application testing, and writing of Microsoft SQL Report Services (SSRS) reports. The IT Spec I will lead requirements gathering workshops with internal customers and document those requirements in Team Foundation Server.
