Mobile Emissions Toolkit for Analysis (META)
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) developed the 2020 Mobile Source Strategy (MSS) to take an integrated planning approach in identifying the level of transition to cleaner mobile source technologies required to meet California's environmental and public health targets.
This tool offers detailed assumptions and visualizations of vehicle population and emissions for the On-Road Heavy-Duty and Medium-Duty sectors within the scope of the 2020 MSS, covering Statewide, San Joaquin Valley, and South Coast regions.
For information and data about On-Road Light-Duty Vehicles in 2020 MSS, please refer to Vision Model.
Please select either On-Road Heavy-Duty or On-Road Medium-Duty tool below to get started.
On-Road Medium Duty Tool
With this tool, you can observe how fleet population and emission from Medium-Duty Vehicles (MDV, Class 2b-3) is impacted and projected under default MSS2020 scenario and Advacned Clean Truck (ACT) regulation.
You can further customize new ZEV phase-in of MDV percentage to visualize how population/emission will be impacted.
